Found this place on yelp after the pho place my group initially wanted to go to turned out to be closed... and I'm so glad we did! My group of 5 was seated immediately at about 2pm on Labor Day by the funniest, nicest server out there! They didn't have too many people working, but service was still attentive and efficient.
We got the canh ga chien for an appetizer and asked for it to have five spice sauce added on the side. The chicken went perfectly with their super tasty five spice sauce, and just a half order was enough to satisfy about 3 people as an appetizer.
I got the bun bo hue as my entree and it was delicious! I especially liked the pork hock- it was enormous and cooked to perfection. The bowl came with more than enough meat and I thoroughly enjoyed the broth! I also got an iced coffee with condensed milk and it hit just the spot paired with the bun bo hue.
Definitely a great place for a meal with very filling portion sizes :) -

Customer service is nice! There's an older lady in the back with the food and an older guy who runs the front. He has a great personality and was putting a lot of effort to connect with his customers. We went on a weekday so it was busy but he still put in the time. My mother is one of those people who only wants to order chicken if she have dark meat; the waiter made a point of checking and asking for dark meat for her since she asked.
As for the food, it was ok, I would say there's a bit too much chinese influence in this place but nothing wrong with that, but you can tell. I ordered the bun bo hue and it had good flavor to it. I wish there were more slices of onion in it but there were plenty of green onions to make up for it.
Come here for a good conversation especially if you're eating alone because the waiter will check on you and make sure you're happy with your experience. He even has a sense of humor! -

Best totally vegan Pho I've ever eaten! The owners are very sweet & friendly & they totally get it, that vegan means no meat or fish & broth made without any animal products whatsoever. The broth is so flavorful & the veggies are super fresh. It's wonderful to have the original Da Nang owner (from my childhood) back in town. My family used to frequent this restaurant, back in the 80s.

Not a hater. I appreciate small businesses and respect people trying to make a life this way. But, this place needs to regroup. It's not cheap. Ordered take out. Gentleman helping me quite nice and jokey. Calamari was thrown in garbage when I got home. Smelled funky and family concurred. Not taking chances as we are family of 4 with two bathrooms and obligations the next day. Chicken in both lemongrass and noodle dishes was dry and chewy. Not well cooked or great quality and these dishes are around $15 each. Tofu dish we got had two pieces of tofu. All dishes overly broccalied, and broccoli is cheap. Tofu sauce very salty and too much sugar. Veggies mushy. In my opinion if dishes were $7-8, fine, I won't complain (much), but at these prices I expect good, fresh food and none of it was.
